Welcome
The Best In Traditional Country Dance Music
From the Sandhills of Nebraska, The Kenastons have entertained throughout Nebraska and across
the Midwest for decades. Performing traditional country, bluegrass, Gospel and dance music since
the 1960’s, the family performs at dances, festivals and shows and has made several appearances on
RFD-TV’s Midwest Country Show. They have performed at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO, have
worked along-side country music celebrities and spend several months annually performing on the
road in Texas. The band has been awarded numerous accolades including membership in the
National Traditional Country Music Association Hall of Fame and dozens of awards for vocals, guitar,
mandolin, dobro, fiddle, and more.
The Kenastons are steeped in tradition. Several generations of musicians taught brother and sister,
Roger & Vanessa, and Roger’s daughter, Bobbi Jo, an appreciation for old time music. Roger’s wife,
Sharon, has been performing for more than 30 years. The family band is passionate about preserving
and promoting live, traditional music and events. As hosts of the Wahoo Country Music Show held
annually in June at the Saunders County Fairgrounds in Wahoo, Nebraska, the family continues the
festival tradition that played a big part in country music history in Nebraska and the Midwest.
